Office 365 does have a few requirements that you should be aware of before implementation.

Your operating system will need to be XP SP 3 or above.

Your Microsoft Office suite will need to be 2007 or above. Ofcourse if you purchase the E3 (recommended) or above plan of Office 365 you get a license and download link for Office 2010 Plus.

Your browser will need to be IE7 or above; and other browsers may work also with their current versions.

Note: You may also want a headset with mic and perhaps even a webcam to take advantage of the Lync communication capabilities (VOIP, web meetings, etc.)  if your Office 365 version includes Lync.
