You are correct; there is no app yet.

I may be able to give you an update soon because I am going to San Francisco to receive training from the good folks at Practice Fusion and I will ask them about any iPad app developments.

And their big connect event is this Friday - so perhaps there may be some news of what is coming for Practice Fusion.

see this link: http://www.practicefusion.com/pages/ipad-emr-solution.html

thank you for your comments

Hello Danny,

My understanding is that Practice Fusion has not released an app for the iPad yet. Yes, LogMein app on iPad provides remote access to a PC which must be on, up and running and connected to the network.
Here is a page on PF's website about mobile: http://www.practicefusion.com/pages/ipad-emr-solution.html

Has Practice Fusion released an app for the iPad yet? A better question is if the app is launched at all? What platforms other than PC and MAC is it available on? LogMeIn is used to remotely gain access correct?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your supportive comments.

I think that you will find that your time will be well spent learning Wordpress.

You might also benefit from checking out the page on my website labeled "Wordpress Website" <a href="http://www.daveduggan.com/wordpress-website/" rel="nofollow">Wordpress Website</a>

You can install Wordpress locally on you computer with a program like XAMPP and then you will have a test installation where you can get familiar with Wordpress offline before you go live with your new website.

There is a robust Wordpress community online with tons of helpful learning resources.

Please let me know if I can be of any further help.

Thank you

I have some (low level) experience in HTML and CSS coding, but really need a CMS. I have been wondering if it would be worth the time learning how to use WordPress, and your outline as persuaded me to give it a go. Thanks Dave.

Hi Danny,

My understanding is that there are other tablets that will run flash.

I am not familiar with them, however.

My understanding is that the iPad rules the tablet market with over 60 % of the tablet market.

So, my focus is on the iPad.

I also understand that iPad owners are very happy with the battery life on their iPad.

I also understand that flash usage is demanding on computer resources including the battery.

So, the iPad battery life advantage may be do in part to not using flash.

And battery life is a most important criteria for a mobile device.

So now I finally understand one major reason why Steve Jobs and Apple opted to not allow flash on ios devices.

Once Practice Fusion releases their app for the iPad this discussion will take a different perspective.

However; remotely controling a pc or mac from an iPad will still be a handy capability to have and be familiar with.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Hello Paula,

Thank you for your comment and question.

In order to anwer your question I did a google search: "movie maker and xp".

One result explained that movie maker is built-in to XP.

The result said that from within XP I could go: start > All Programs > accessories > movie maker.

So, I tried and did not find movie maker was not showing in accessories.

But, I went into help for XP and entered a search: "movie maker": start > help and support.

The result in help showed how to get into movie maker - but, I simply clicked on the clickable link and, walla! movie maker opened up!

So yes, movie maker is built-in to my XP Pro operating system!

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you.

What a great tutorial Dave! What do you do in the case of not having Windows 7 to download the movie maker software? Is there a way to do it with XP?
